How to cool down a nitrogen booster?

The separation between the nitrogen compression chamber and the air drive chamber in a nitrogen booster is provided by a three-stage dynamic sealing device. The part between the two chambers is connected to the air. This design ensures that the compressed nitrogen gas is not contaminated by the driving gas. The Feentor nitrogen booster fully utilizes the characteristic of significantly reducing the temperature of the driving gas after doing work, and uses the discharged low-temperature driving gas as a coolant to pass through the cooling U-tube provided by the booster to cool the high-pressure output gas and the steel sleeve of the booster pump. This approach not only ensures that the temperature of the high-pressure output gas and the boosting device is around 6 º C, but also avoids the strong noise caused by the use of electric cooling devices.

Nitrogen booster drive part: The reliable operating temperature range of the pump under standard nitrogen drive is -15 º C to+65 º C. However, when the dew point of the supply gas is less than -55 º C, the reliable operating temperature range of the pump is -35 º C to+65 º C.

Nitrogen compression section: Low temperature usually does not affect the operation of standard parts and seals in the compression section of a nitrogen booster. The heat generated during the compression process helps to balance the low-temperature environment. The average available temperature for this section is 115 º C (240 º F).

Due to the installation of high-precision dryers in the nitrogen pressurization system, the gas seal test station operates at a temperature of 35 º C and humidity of 95-98%, with a dew point of less than -65 º C at the high-pressure gas outlet.
