The original compressed air pressure in the factory was 6 bar, and after passing through the compressed air booster pump, the outlet pressure became 6 bar. However, when the compressed air booster pump was turned on, the outlet pressure did not increase but instead decreased. But when the outlet air equipment was turned off, the pressure could still increase. What's the reason for this? I believe many manufacturers who are using compressed air booster pumps for the first time have encountered this phenomenon. Below, I will explain to you which situations can cause this phenomenon.
This phenomenon is generally caused by two factors: first, insufficient air compressor flow. 2、 The flow rate of the compressed air booster pump cannot be increased.
1、 The air compressor has insufficient flow. There are two types of this situation: one is caused by pipelines that are too long or too thin, and the other is caused by excessive consumption and boost flow of compressed air booster pumps. 1、 When the pipeline is too long or too thin, manufacturers usually think of using a compressed air booster pump to increase the pressure a bit. However, in this case, the pipeline blockage may decrease due to the pipeline being too long or too thin, resulting in insufficient gas supply and causing the outlet pressure of the compressed air booster pump to decrease instead of increasing. 2、 The excessive consumption and boost flow of the compressed air booster pump may cause significant fluctuations in the driving air source when the pump is turned on, and the pressure gauge may bounce back and forth between 0.2-0.6 bar. At this point, the air compressor cannot supply the air booster pump with flow.
2、 The flow rate of the compressed air booster pump cannot be increased. This is caused by a selection error. For example, the equipment consumes 800L/min of air source, but the factory purchases ZTM02 compressed air booster pump with a flow rate of 580L/min. This is due to selecting the wrong model. The flow rate after booster pump boosting cannot match the equipment consumption, resulting in a pressure drop instead of an increase. In this case, ZTV02 compressed air booster pump with a flow rate of 1200L/min should be selected to maintain the pressure during equipment use.
